Pierogi Casserole

  • 2 packages frozen pierogi's. I do one package cheddar and one onion

  • 4 Tb water

  • 14 oz kielbasa, sliced and halved

  • 1 cup sour cream

  • 8 oz softened cream cheese

  • 1 cup reduced sodium chicken broth

  • salt and pepper to taste

  • 2 cup shredded sargento 4 state cheddar cheddar cheese

  • 1/2 c sliced green onion


Preheat oven to 375.


In a microwavable bowl, stir one package pierogi with 2 tb water cover with cling wrap and microwave 2 minutes, stir then microwave 2 minutes more or until thawed. Do the exact same with the other package pierogi and 2 more Tb of water.

Layer evenly in a greased 9x13 baker. Sprinkle sliced kielbasa over the pierogi.


In a bowl whisk together cream cheese, sour cream, chicken broth and pepper. Stir in 1 cup shredded cheese and 1/4 c green onion. Evenly spread across the kielbasa/pierogi.


Cover with foil and bake 30 min.


Uncover and sprinkle with remaining 1 cup cheese. Bake uncovered 5 minutes.
