1 pound ground chuck
1/2 pound ground pork
2 cloves minced garlic
1 tablespoon worcestershire
1/2 cup packed light brown sugar
1 cup ketchup
1 more tablespoon worcestershire
1/2 cup milk
2 eggs
1 packet Lipton onion soup mix
1 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon pepper
1/4 teaspoon ginger powder
3/4 cup Italian seasoned bread crumbs
2 slices of bread
Preheat oven to 350 F.
In a small bowl whisk together garlic, 1 tablespoon worcestershire, sugar snd ketchup. Split into three smaller bowls (use a 1/2 cup measuring cup for each bowl)
In a large bowl combine 1 tablespoon worcestershire with milk, eggs, soup mix, salt, pepper, ginger, bread crumbs and one of your small bowls of ketchup mixture you set aside. Stir in beef and pork- dont over handle.
Lightly grease a 9x5 baker. Press two slices of bread on the bottom of the baker. This is going to soak up all extra grease.
Spread another one of your three small cups worth of ketchup sauce right over the bread.
Then add all your meatloaf and lightly pat down to make the loaf.
Pour that last remaining ketchup sauce over the meatloaf.
Bake 60-80 minutes (mine takes closer to 80 minutes) or until internal temperature registers 160 degrees.
Let set 10-15 minutes before slicing and get rid of the greasy bread.
