Kielbasa with Sauerkraut and Honey Mustard

  • 2 packages Polska smoked kielbasa

  • 32 oz drained sauerkraut

  • 1 large sliced onion

  • 2 Tb unsalted butter

  • 3 Tb sugar

  • 3 Tb fresh chopped parsley


Dip-

  • 1/4 c yellow mustard

  • 1/4 c dijon mustard

  • 1/4 c honey

  • 1 Tb horseradish

  • 1/8 t cayenne

  • pinch of salt and pepper


Melt butter over medium high heat. Add sugar, stir. Cook until it’s dark brown in color. Add sliced onions. Carmelize 10 minutes.

Cut kielbasa into 3” slices.


Grill on high 5 minutes, flip and grill 5 minutes more.

Add sauerkraut to onions, stir and heat 3 minutes.

Add kielbasa to sauerkraut mixture and top with parsley. Serve with mustard dipping sauce or drizzle over the whole thing.
