All American Chili

  • 1 pound ground sirloin

  • 1 pound Italian sausage

  • 2 cans bushs red beans in chili sauce

  • 1 can bushs mild kidney beans in chili sauce

  • 1 can Rotel diced tomatoes with green chile’s-drain

  • 1 (14.5 oz) can diced tomatoes with italian seasoning-drain

  • 9 oz Budweiser or any lager style beer

  • 1 beef bouillon cube

  • 6 slices bacon, crumbled

  • 1 green bell pepper, chopped

  • 1 red bell pepper, chopped

  • 2 tablespoons minced garlic

  • 1 large onion, chopped

  • 1/4 cup chili powder

  • 1 tablespoon oregano

  • 1 tablespoon cumin

  • 1 teaspoon basil

  • 1 teaspoon salt

  • 1 teaspoon black pepper

  • 1/8 teaspoon cayenne

  • 1 teaspoon paprika

  • 1 teaspoon white sugar

  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire

  • Shredded cheddar

  • Sour cream

  • Fritos scoops or tortilla chips

In a large nonstick pot cook bacon over medium high until crispy. Remove bacon and saute onion and bell peppers in bacon grease. Add garlic and saute one minute. Set aside sauteed veggies in a small bowl and brown your beef and sausage. Drain grease and stir beef and sausage in to stock pot along with crumbled bacon, veggies, beans, diced tomatoes, bouillon cube, beer, and all seasoning. Stir to blend. Cover and simmer 2 hours. After 2 hours taste and adjust salt, pepper and chili if needed. Remove from heat. Serve with shredded cheese, sour cream and chips for dipping.
